Romanian characters Ș Ț ș ț

Due to formerly incomplete character encodings and poorly implemented legacy software, some confusion appears to persist about S and T with cedilla vs. comma diacritics. Here are the correct encodings and glyph shapes:

ŞU+015EcedillaUsed in Turkish and other Turkic languages. Never in Romanian!
şU+015F
ŢU+0162Used in Gagauz (a minority language of, interestingly, Moldova.) Never in Romanian!
ţU+0163
ȘU+0218commaUsed in Romanian (incl. “Moldovan”)
șU+0219
ȚU+021AUsed in Romanian (incl. “Moldovan”)
țU+021B

The excellent and free Alegreya font family does it correctly!
